Hi, I’m Kenner Chaves Rosales, and I can’t wait to show you the incredible beauty of Costa Rica’s Sierpe mangroves. Growing up in a family of peasants, farmers, and ranchers, I’ve been connected to nature my entire life. My grandfather arrived in the Corcovado and Drake Bay area by boat in 1970, and I spent my childhood in the mountains of Estero de Guerra, surrounded by the rainforest. We later moved to Sierpe, where I finished school and began working in tourism, a field that has allowed me to combine my love for nature with sharing it with others.
For over 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most experienced guides and tour companies, and every day, I’m grateful to explore the mangroves and introduce visitors to this unique ecosystem. From monkeys swinging through the trees to birds in flight and crocodiles lurking in the waters, the mangroves are a place where life thrives in remarkable ways.
